Spanish painter, sculptor and architect. He was an artist of rare versatility in 17th-century Spain, although his architectural work was not extensive. While he is also known for his drawings, only about 60 of these are definitely attributable to him, despite the many extant sketches with the name 'Cano' carelessly added by later hands. 1678, Venezia) Giovanni Camillo Sagrestani(1660-1731) was an Italian painter of the Baroque era.
A native of Florence, he was a follower of the style of Carlo Cignani. His major pupil was Matteo Bonechi (1672-1726) and Giovanni Battista Ranieri del Pace. Four canvases attributed to Sagrestani can be found in the church of Santa Maria della Fraternite in Foiano della Chiana. He also executed works in the church of San Frediano in Cestello, in the Oltrarno district of Florence. Paintings in the church of SS. Annunziata in San Giovanni Valdarno are attributed to Sagrestani. An Assumption of the Virgin is found in Nancy. Galland Pierre VictorGeneve 1822-Paris 1892
He studied metalwork with his father Jacques Galland, an accomplished goldsmith, until age 16. He then entered the studio of Henri Labrouste to study architecture. After two years of training, Labrouste encouraged him to pursue his interest in decorative painting under the direction of Michel-Martin Drolling. In 1843 the decorative painter Pierre-Luc-Charles Ciceri (1782-1868) hired Galland to assist with the painting of figures, flowers, garlands and fruit. He worked again with Labrouste, in 1848, on the decoration of the national festival, the F?te de la Concorde.
